While this class is named for "New Riders", it's also great for anyone who's
been riding for a long time, but would like help with the basics, as far as
service and repair.
I know of one particular rider, an advanced bike handler, but not the
greatest at roadside/trailside repair. Though this rider won the 2009
Leadville 100, he did so on a flat rear tire, which he had unsuccessfully
attempted to repair during the race... on camera. Who was this poor
fellow? Hint: his initials are Lance Armstrong... Oops. That slipped.
So take this class, and you'll already have one-up on that guy!
Really though, this might be the most important stuff to learn about your
bike. It's the stuff that'll familiarize you with your bike, and the stuff that'll get
you home if you have any "mechanicals" out on the road or trail.
